“The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache.”

1. My birthday was super great. My siblings came down and jumped on my bed to wake me up and I ate my heart out. My parents made us delicious hamburgers!! Then with Easter there was a ton of candy. Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs=a little bit of heaven. Cannot believe I am 19! I do feel super old especially after eating all that chocolate. Let's just say the jeans were pretty tight that day.
2. Nothing says I love you like a chocolate hen. I thank my cutest Indian friend Hanisha for getting me a chocolate hen for my birthday! I haven't eaten it yet because it is too precious.
Exactly what it looks like only, I didn't take this picture, because I don't want the chocolate to taste like dirt.
3. I am off track, working at the funnest place on BYU-I campus, relaxing, soon to be working at Snoasis, and working on my mission papers so I can serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This week I got my shots which I dreaded but I did not pass out! I am passionate about this gospel and the Savior's atonement that will allow me to make it safely back to live in eternal life with my family. I want everyone to feel the joy that I feel knowing that I am a daughter of God and He cares for me and knows me perfectly. I am excited to receive my call and see where I will be sent to teach!
All that is going on and I am super excited and nervous about but I know that with God's help I can do anything!
Hello friends. I have accomplished something great.
No, Penny my sweet dog does not love me yet. Maybe someday.
I have completed my first year of college.
I have learned truly that I want to be an elementary teacher.
I have learned that some people are crazy but you love them anyway and they do the same for you.
I have learned cheese quesadillas should not be eaten every day for lunch and dinner.
I have learned my mom makes the best food.
I have learned to embrace my inner nerd (you already know that if you read my blog)
I have learned to observe myself and analyze my life and those around me.
I have learned that when a guy pees on a date in the wilderness that he is way to comfortable around you or he is a farmer. Whatever, nature calls, I guess I should understand since I have brothers.
I have learned so much about myself from dating others and I see what I want in my future hubster/babe/hoodlum/(insert another gaggy name)
I have learned if you tell a Returned Missionary that you are thinking about serving a mission they will look at you funny.
I have learned to study ahead of time and not the day of.
I have learned that Student Activities is absolutely the place to be and I am forever grateful for my job there and the amazing people I work with daily.
I have learned to not eat any food in the Crossroads of BYU-Idaho unless it is a salad, dessert, French fries, or crepe.
Most importantly, I have learned to rely and trust in God.
BOOO-YAH to all these things I learned!
I am proud of my accomplishments but I cannot take all of the credit. I had help from my older brother, Jesus Christ. I love my Savior and better appreciate his atoning sacrifice not only as another person God sent to earth but a friend who gave his life so that I could be understood for every mistake I make. Because of him I feel peace and comfort and hope because even when I mess up I can get another chance to improve. Today in church we sang the song "While of These Emblems We Partake" a song that I have heard many times. Today a phrase stood out, "The law was broken; Jesus died, That justice might be satisfied, That man might not remain a slave Of death, of hell, or of the grave." I love that because of Him life does not end after death. I look forward to next Easter Sunday and reflecting more on Him. He is the light of this world. I am grateful I get to share my birthday with Easter! Last time my birthday was on Easter I was 8 years old. On Easter 11 years ago I had the chance to be baptized and follow the Savior. He is perfect yet he set the example to be clean. I will always remember that. He is the world's greatest role model and I hope I can strive to become like Him. Please enjoy this little video that shares all that we can accomplish and do because of Jesus Christ.
