Life changers!

Ciao Tutti,

This week has been a life changer for realsies!! (is that weird slang, yeah probably) 

I sent a letter to my mission President telling him about this miracle we witnessed. It was amazing and showed me God hears our prayers and is aware of our needs. I know that his gospel is true, to me these things dont just happen, but really. Hope stop and read this and thank God for the miracles in life...He is aware!!!

Other than that...I love Navigli and I love my companion and I love this work!!! I am safe and supppppper happy! Have a great week yall!

Miracoli: Wow this week has been filled with even more miracles!!! First we had our baptism with Marianna, which was amazing, after in which she bore her testimony of the book of mormon, so powerful! Then also this week Sorella Boscia and I decided to go do casa! We got in and didnt have much sucess, no one let us in but we shared a few pass along cards. We then decided to do strada right by the church!! We got a few responses but everyone seemed in a hurry. Finally we were passing a lady and I asked a simple phrase with a smile Lei crede che Dio e il nostro padre celeste? She then began to cry, si, si! We talked a little about how much God loves us! We gave her a pass along card and invited her to Mariannas baptism. We asked for her number but wouldnt give it to us. We then prayed and prayed that she would come to the baptism. (this happened on wednesday night) Right as everyone was entering the room to see the baptism of Marianna I saw Rossa!!!!! The lady we had met on the street!!! She had come to the baptism and remembered. Just in time to see it also! I took her by the arm to see the baptism!  I know that it wasnt because Sorella Skinner convinced her to come but she had felt the spirit for the short time we talked!! Things were crazy at the baptism and we had lots of investigators come. Right after the baptism service was over I looked back and Rossa was gone!! I was so sad. No one that I know of had talked to her because I asked all the Anziani. I decided that I needed to fast! Yes I was hungry but I knew I needed to put aside my worldly desires and do it. So I fasted Saturday night praying she would come to church or call us or that we could see this woman again! We went to church and she wasnt there, but I didnt want to give up! I continued to pray for her. Then yesterday Sorella Boscia wasnt feeling super well and we had to miss FHE. We called the Anziani to tell them. I was a little sad because I love FHE and English class so much!! Then Anziano Gardiner called us back about 5 minutes later, he told me that Rossa was there! She had come to English class! The world seemed to stop, we didnt tell her anything about English class when we talked with her. So I told him to try to receive her number for English class. I hung up the phone and gave a thankful prayer. I was so happy, so sad I wasnt there but happy that Heavenly Father heard my prayers! Rossa is important to him, just like all his children. I still am not sure how she found out about English class but she did! When I was done praying Sorella Boscia told me, okay we need to go, I dont feel great but this is a miracle Sorella! So we went to the church and we saw Rossa and invited her to come to the next baptism and English class and FHE. She had to leave and couldnt stay for FHE. And we didnt receive her number but Anziano Harding did! Awww I just have such a great testimony that every person is involved in this! We really are all instruments in Gods hands! This week I am more grateful than ever.

Ice Cream?

Ciao Tutti!!!

Dont have tons of time this week but I just want to share with you that this week we got to watch Meet the Mormons at our Zone Conference. I want to invite you all to watch it. If you dont understand why I am in Italy I invite you to watch this to understand a little more about why us Mormons are how we are. Yes I am in Italy but I was called here by a prophet of God to preach his gospel!! I know that I cannot convince anyone, I just want to invite you though to explore the joy of what I feel. 

The work here is going well. Marianna has a baptism saturday and Alita the next saturday! They are amazing and have strong testimonies! 

As for a funny katelyn moment to share...well I was in Pavia this week and I was visiting a woman named Gift. We talked about the Restoration of our gospel and she seemed to understand well. Then she said the book of mormon is true. Then we invited her to church and she said...no I have a religion. WHAT? hahaha ok. Then I tried to ask her what her favorite dessert was...she answered saying I love what God gives me. Ok. Playing hard to get hahah. Well I ended up saying that I like icecream more than cake. And Since I have tried both I know that I can have fullness of joy with ice cream. Yes cake is good but more joy with ice cream. This analogy didnt really work for Gift. But I hope it works for you. If you dont know about my religion, I invite you to find out more and see why to me, it is the ice cream!!!!

Happy Love week!

Ciao Tutti!!!

This week has been packed with good and bad. It snowed here in Milano and we were trying to find a investigators house in the snow and my feet were falling off and I was close to tears but then I decided to joke around, we were saying how our future children are probably laughing there heads off at us and our hubbys are going to be awesome!! We must laugh even in the most awful times!!! 

Food this week: Pizza with our investigator Marianna. Mama mia, so yummy!!!

Weird story: Cat barfed at a members house. ewww. I thought it was dancing!!!

Miracoli: This week my miracle was our investigator Abigal. Her sister Stacy was baptized in December. Stacy said that Abigal had something to tell us. She read the introduction to The Book of Mormon and she liked it a lot, she said it made more sense to her after reading that!! We were so happy for her, she is on her way! 

We also learned this week to always follow the spirit even when it is cold and snowing!! We felt impressed to visit an investigator and her family who is less active. Her name is Marta and she has 4 kids who are all members but less active because church is far away for them. But even though we were late arriving and couldnt find there house we continued to go and we taught this family about the importance of prayers and the spirit was there and they were so happy to have us!! 

Scripture for the week: Alma 22:16--We can receive the hope we desire if we humble ourselves!!

Heaven on Earth

Today I found a great scripture that I feel impressed to share with you all:

Alma 32: 17-18

Yea, there are many who do say: If thou wilt show unto us a sign from heaven, then we shall know of surety: then we shall believe.

Now I ask is this faith? Behold I say unto you, Nay: for if a man knoweth a thing he hath no cause to believe, for he knoweth it.

I want to invite you all and myself to have faith. Difficult times come but trust in the Lord, He knows what He is doing. He also knows how to help you. If you have a desire to know something, and its of light, well, DO IT! Maybe an angel wont come down and testify but we can feel heaven on earth when we believe and act and show our faith by doing!!!

As for this week!! I went to LUGANO!! It is super pretty like Lake Coeurdalene except no grandpa skinner cabin and no family. I love it!!! And want to live there someday.

As for the people I teach, I love them so much. My heart is full for them. A lot of the people I am teaching have hard times they are facing right now. I know that through these times we learn. So dont wish away the hard times---take it as an opportunity from God to learn and improve yourself!!
