Key to my heart or cow heart

Ciao tutti!!!!

Ok so I am emailing on Tuesday because tomorrow we have a mission conference.
Boo yah !!! This week rocked. Ready Freddy?

We had 2 new simps( investigators) come to church!!!! Emma and Ricardo!!! Emma is about 52 and Ricardo like 27. Mom and son! They came to church and I run into the room where Sorella is helping a member and I start just like excited screaming/ jumping up and down ( kori withers yes I do that;) got it from you) I was trying to say Emma is here but I am pretty sure I was not speaking any language known to man. I run out and give her the biggest hug. There is no better feeling than seeing these amazing friends progress and start talking the street to Jesus Christ! There is where they find his outstanding peace and joy!

Julia!!! She has such a big testimony...she feels like the church is her family! She fed us cow heart!!! Yeah...I like artichoke hearts. Not cow hearts. It's basically fatty meat. But we love her the same!!!

I know the Lord sees our lives. He cares. He loves you. Yes you. You matter. When life gets hard put your trust in him!! Here is a quote I found this week.

“The simple secret is this: put your trust in the Lord, do your best, then leave the rest to Him.” Elder Wirthlin

I know this is so true. If we trust in Him we won't have to worry so much and also we won't be alone.

Love you all!!!! Have a great week. Happy beginning of school time everyone!

Fishing and experience

Ciao Tutti!!

So remember how last week I was scared for this week? Well it went great. We got two miracle referrals from less actives.
Miria and Emma.
Emma was so excited to have us over and sent us home with homemade jam and made us cry...the spirit was so strong. She has so many good questions and I know he gospel of Jesus Christ will answer them.

Also the anziani gave us Julia!!!!! She will be baptized on September 5th!! So pray for her. Our cutest Peruvian mom!

I made tiramisu for English class because some anziani were leaving. They loved it and now they want to make us some senza caffè! Without coffee! The students not the anziani.

I just want you all to know I know this gospel changes lives. It has changed mine. I know that things don't always work out how we think or want but I know God has an individual plan for us. I am grateful for agency. I am grateful I can experience joy but that only comes because I know sadness. I know my savior lives. I know the Book of Mormon is true and I know that peace is possible to find in this life. But only through the gospel of Christ.

Quotes and scriptures:
This is what I have come to teach you who are in trouble. He will step in and solve the problem you cannot solve, but you have to pay the price. It does not come without doing that. He is a very kind ruler in the sense that He has paid the price necessary, but He wants you to do what you should, even if it is painful.

Do not expect that all will go smoothly throughout your life. Even for those who are living as they should, it sometimes will be just the opposite. Meet each of life’s challenges with optimism and surety, and you will have the peace and faith to sustain you now and in the future.

Have a good week. Love you all!

Ferragosto

Ciao tutti!!

This email will be a bit scattered but hey...I am a missionary.
Cute couple miracle...we had like one hour until English class so we went to a park. But there were only two people there and it was a teenage couple. My thoughts...eww I don't want to talk to them...they are going to role their eyes and be rude. Well we filled up our water bottles at a fountain and then I said
Sorella lets go send a daily text message (what I wanted to do) ...after we go talk to this couple ( not what I wanted to do). We went and ended up talking to his couple. Which actually they are not a couple but they should be Gaia from India and Jason from the phillipines. They both speak English but grew up here in Italy. We talked about receiving answers to prayers. We talked about their experiences. We shared the restoration of the gospel. They loved it.

I gave a talk in sacrament which was super fun!!!

Plan of happiness....thanks to Christ. We don't need to fear! He wants us also to have peace in this life!!!
I met a Peruvian... Patricia in the station and my companion had a Spanish Book of Mormon that day. We talked about trials and her son. It was amazing how Heavenly Father guided us to her.

We don't know who needs us.

I am grateful for the atonement of my savior. I am no where near perfect. But I know that Heavenly Father will accept that if I come unto Christ and restart.

“If you are struggling, confused, or spiritually lost, I urge you to do the one thing I know will get you back on track. Begin again to prayerfully study the Book of Mormon and live its teachings every day, every day, every day! I testify of the profound power in the Book of Mormon that will change your life and strengthen your resolve to follow Christ. The Holy Ghost will change your heart and help you see ‘things as they really are’ [Jacob 4:13].” Kevin Pearson

I love this gospel...anytime I have doubted I have opened the Book of Mormon and over time found what I needed...but it's only because I had faith and tried.

I hope you can all have faith and try.

This week is ferragosto where all Italians leave to the beach....so pray for me that we will find someone who can't go to the beach but even better have the gospel

Not McDonalds but wait.....

Ciao tutti!!!

This week was a little hard but also awesome. We saw lots of little miracles together.
We met a guy named Matteo on the bus who asked us who we were...he has ragazza troubles...aka girlfriend problems. But he is ready for the gospel...he knows God has been close by during this time.
One scambio we met a lady named Maria from Honduras. We just had a lesson with her Monday and plan on seeing her also tonight! We were going to have a lesson in mcdonalds but as we were praying I thought....ew how gross...she cannot hear about the restoration of the gospel at McDonald's. Luckily we found a spot to sit down at the train station. Meno male.

One video we shared this week that has brought me close to tears was a video by elder eyring. It's called mountains to climb. You have maybe seen it. It's beautiful. I would like to share my testimony as well that the burden becomes lighter with our savior. I know that if we make the best of the worst times that is when we will grow. Life is too short to complain and hate it. Why not love it?
D&C 54
10 And again, be patient in tribulation until I come; and, behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, and they who have sought me early shall find rest to their souls. Even so. Amen.

"If we have faith in Jesus Christ, the hardest as well as the easiest times in life can be a blessing. In all conditions, we can choose the right with the guidance of the Spirit. We have the gospel of Jesus Christ to shape and guide our lives if we choose it. And with prophets revealing to us our place in the plan of salvation, we can live with perfect hope and a feeling of peace. We never need to feel that we are alone or unloved in the Lord’s service because we never are. We can feel the love of God. The Savior has promised angels on our left and our right to bear us up. And He always keeps His word."

I know this is true. I know we can find love and peace in the mist of trials.

Love you all!!!
I love my Italian friends.
I love this gospel.
Buona settimana a tutti!

Awed or odd

Ciao tutti...

This week we saw some miracles through diligently going out and
finding. Well we found a man named Patrick who is Scottish and has
read the Book of Mormon. He found it at a book market...and bought it.
Read the whole thing and loved it. Now can you see this is the lords
work truly. We told him the Book of Mormon is the most important book
he could come across. We will see him in church on Sunday and next
week.

I know that miracles don't cease but our faith can. Let us all find
that faith that Peter had to walk on the water. Let us all pray with
our might and humble ourselves. Then we will see those miracles that
will leaved us awed. Not odd but awed. Haha

Love you all have a great week.
Sorry this is short.

Ps... This week I bought European spray on deodorant and let me be
completely honest...it may feel good when you spray it on but it
doesn't work. I love this experience. If you want to be like the
people ....I guess you got to smell like them too. Haha

Too much info...maybe.
