Ciao tutti!
Well I found out this week that the Lord needs me to go back to the
city I was born in..Milano! I am very excited I will be in a big ward
with lots of work to look forward to. Am I sad? Of course...part of me
thinks I could have straightened out the leaning tower of Pisa just a
bit more. I have been in Tuscany for now 8 months and it seems
seriously like my second home. It will be hard to leave my Italian
grandma and ward members and friends here but the good thing is I know
the Lord has a plan!
What happened this week....well we had an awesome mostra on Saturday
(I don't know how you would say that in English...we have a booth set
up at a market and do finding). We had great success! When they aren't
interested in the gospel we still offer to serve them by inviting them
to English class.
We went to the Gori families house where I came to realize that I
understand some Portuguese! Buon Gia!
We did finding lots this week and then we have been saying bye to
members and investigators.
Biggest thing I have learned this week is sometimes Satan is trying to
keep us from receiving blessings he has promised us. I know that if we
are built upon the rock of Jesus Christ we have the promise that we
will not fall. It doesn't mean it won't be shaky at times but we will
have more strength. I am very grateful for my parents who helped me
establish my faith on that rock and I'm grateful for the moments I
have had to continue to build that foundation on my own. (Helaman
5:12)
Have a great week!!
Love Sorella skinner
I'm gonna miss my French companion. She is such a babe. I love her.
She will rock Pisa
BYE FLORENCE AND BEAUTIFUL TUSCANY!
